Acclaimed short film director Chie Hayakawa makes her feature directing debut with an expansion of her critically lauded "Plan 75" segment from anthology TEN YEARS JAPAN, which continues to screen at high profile international film festivals.
In a dystopian Japan of the near future, government program “Plan 75” encourages senior citizens to be voluntarily euthanized in order to remedy a super-aged society. An elderly woman living an isolated existence, an idealistic doctor, and a young Filipino laborer all face choices of life and death.
